Join MPS as a Frontend Engineer and take ownership of the frontend domain, leading the design, development, and evolution of scalable web applications. You'll collaborate closely with backend engineers, UX specialists, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions that meet business objectives and exceptional user experience standards.

You’ll drive the timely delivery of innovative frontend solutions, architect modern React applications, optimise performance and build pipelines, and ensure robust, production-ready implementations. Working across teams, you'll champion best practices, code quality, and scalable design principles while helping to modernise and enhance our software platforms.

What You’ll Do:
Programming

· Expertise in React framework

· Expertise in component lifecycles

· Expertise in advanced state management patterns

· Expertise in how an HTML page is rendered on the browser

· Expertise in the latest and emerging technologies likely to be employed in designing and delivering enterprise-wide quality solutions.

· Familiar with prototyping and MVP development approaches.

· Proficient in Git

· Familiar with software project life cycles, including Waterfall and Agile.

· Build efficient, testable, and reusable components

· Skilled at solving and communicating complex problems, applying knowledge and technology.

· Conceptual thinking, able to understand the underlying issues in complex problems.

Architect Frontend Systems

· Design, configure, and scale a modular, maintainable React application to completely replace our legacy MarionetteJS system.

· Design implementation (HTML, CSS, Tailwind)

· Familiar with Figma

Optimize Build Pipelines

· Maintain and configure modern frontend tooling to maximize code-splitting, reusability, tree-shaking, and performance.

Integrate & Normalize Data

· Consume complex API payloads engineered by the PHP team, implementing robust local caching and asynchronous state logic.

Production-Grade Implementation

· Create and maintain clean and responsive client-side experiences based on specs from our UX expert

· Solid understanding of modern software design principles (e.g., SOLID, DRY) and common React architecture patterns (such as composition, custom hooks, and container/presenter layout segregation).

Frontend architecture & security

· Ensure that the completed software complies with all architecture, design, programming standards and conventions; that developed software meets all functional and technical requirements and is of a high quality.

· Technical management and leadership at the code level.

· Expertise in latest techniques and methodologies in delivering quality solutions.

· Familiar with application security and scalability.

· Own the Frontend solution architecture.

Communication

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively in appropriate styles at all levels.

Documentation

· Create required technical specification and designs in line with current architecture for new features/projects

· Skill in writing technical documentation.

Planning

· Ensure that project assignments are completed within realistic time frames, deal with and resolve day-to-day development and support queries

· Good planning, organisational and analytical skills

· Self-managing, prioritising, and multi-tasking

What You’ll Bring:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience

• Solid 5+ years of React Development

• Expertise in: React framework, component lifecycles, advanced state management patterns, and browser DOM rendering processes

• Solid understanding of: Git, semantic layouts, and Figma

• Understanding of SOLID Principles and Design Patterns
