Account Director (LA Based)
We’re seeking a skilled Account Director based in Los Angeles to manage key relationships with Film Distributors, Studios, and Sales Agents.

At MPS, we're looking for an Account Director to lead key client relationships with Film Distributors, Studios, and Sales Agents, guiding projects from initial brief to global screen.
As the bridge between our clients and our world-class teams, you’ll ensure seamless delivery of services across Localization, Accessibility, Mastering, and Global Content Distribution. Working closely with our London office, you’ll support a truly global clientele with follow-the-sun service continuity.

Your Mission:
As Account Director, you'll be the strategic voice clients trust most: advising, guiding, and delivering solutions that meet their creative and commercial goals. You’ll oversee every step of the journey, ensuring our services not only meet expectations, but exceed them.
What will you do:
Client Partnership & Growth
Be the primary point of contact for key domestic accounts—resolving inquiries, driving orders, and maintaining exceptional service standards.
Support international operations in tandem with our London team—providing seamless service across time zones.
Develop a deep understanding of each client’s goals to anticipate needs and recommend services that align with their evolving business.
Offer strategic consultation—making MPS not just a service provider, but a partner in success.
Educate clients on the latest MPS capabilities and tech innovations to drive awareness and upsell opportunities.
Champion new services, proactively identifying growth opportunities and contributing to long-term account expansion.
Ensure accurate, timely billing and maintain oversight of financial performance across assigned accounts.
Represent MPS with integrity, professionalism, and expertise within the global film and entertainment industry.
Project Ownership & Team Collaboration
Lead projects across the full content lifecycle, from localization to delivery—ensuring every detail is right.
Communicate clearly and consistently with internal teams and third-party partners to maintain smooth operations.
Maintain constant visibility of all current and upcoming projects, managing timelines, expectations, and quality control.
Resolve challenges with creativity and urgency—always advocating for the client while maintaining operational excellence.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, sharing knowledge across teams to raise standards and innovate service delivery.
Support and mentor internal teams, helping to build organizational expertise and elevate service performance company-wide.
What will you bring:
Proven experience in account management or client services within Digital Cinema, post-production, or media distribution.
Deep knowledge of film delivery formats and workflows.
A strategic mindset paired with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach
Outstanding communication skills—with the confidence to lead conversations with senior stakeholders
The ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines, without losing focus or quality
Experience working in a global environment and navigating time-zone-based collaboration.
